Our latest feature, a striking red XS650 built by Rob Palmer, exemplifies the dedication and passion that define our community. Rob Palmer’s journey with this machine began when he acquired it as an incomplete project.
Despite its initial state, the potential of the bike was clear. “Bought as an incomplete project. Runs sweet but have a few more jobs to complete,” Rob noted. With a vision in mind, he set out to transform this XS650 into a masterpiece.
The bike’s new paint job, a vivid and eye-catching red, immediately draws attention. This bold color choice perfectly complements the intricate Cornish-themed engraving adorning various parts of the bike.
These detailed engravings are a nod to Rob’s heritage and showcase a level of artistry that is rarely seen in motorcycle customization. It’s these personal touches that make this build truly unique.
Beyond its stunning aesthetics, this XS650 is a testament to Rob’s mechanical prowess. “A little wiring and a sissy bar and a new paint job,” he mentioned, highlighting the final touches that brought this machine to life.
The attention to detail is evident in every angle and component, from the polished engine to the carefully routed wiring.
This build is not Rob’s first foray into the world of the XS650. “This is my 3rd XS and just love them,” he shared, underscoring his enduring passion for this iconic model. His experience with previous XS650 projects has clearly informed the quality and execution of this latest creation, resulting in a bike that not only looks spectacular but also runs flawlessly.
Every angle of this red beauty tells a story of dedication, skill, and a deep love for the Yamaha XS650. It is a shining example of what can be achieved with vision, hard work, and a deep connection to the motorcycle community.
