This stunning Yamaha XS650, affectionately named “Bow’s Camouflage XS,” was originally built by the renowned customizer Hardtail Henk.

This XS650 chop found a new home about a year ago when Bow, also known as Benno, acquired it.
Since then, Bow has poured his heart and soul into transforming this machine into a reflection of his own style and personality.
One of the most striking features of Bow’s Camouflage XS is its camouflage paint scheme.
The intricate pattern, meticulously applied, gives the bike a rugged and adventurous look that stands out in any crowd.
To complement the camouflage, Bow took the extra step of painting the frame a matching brown.

As he humorously put it, “You got a fine brown frame… remember that song?”
Bow didn’t stop at aesthetics. He made several functional upgrades to enhance the bike’s performance and ride quality.

The original mag wheels were swapped out for a pair of spoke wheels, with the front wheel sourced from a motocross bike.
The result is a 21-inch front wheel that not only looks impressive but also improves the bike’s handling. “Always cheap but neat,” Bow remarked, showcasing his knack for finding cost-effective yet stylish solutions.

The front fork, also borrowed from a motocross bike, adds to the bike’s rugged appeal and ensures a smooth ride over various terrains.
Bow’s attention to detail extends to the bike’s electrical components as well. The bobine, sourced from a Harley, and a small gel battery work together to provide reliable voltage for all the bike’s electrical needs.

Bow’s Camouflage XS is more than just a motorcycle; it’s a labor of love. Each modification, from the spoke wheels to the Harley bobine, reflects Bow’s dedication to creating a ride that is uniquely his own.
As Bow proudly shared, he is “a satisfied man” who loves his ride, and it’s easy to see why.
