Describe Your XS650: Year: 1973
Well this is sort of an exercise in what you can do while remaining within the allowable modification guidelines for registration here in NSW Australia. Because the frame has not been altered and the other mods come within the “allowable limits” it does not require any special inspection for rego.
Mods are, 6″ over forks, 21″ front wheel and sportster guard, 16″ special rear wheel and 34 tooth sprocket, low seat, short bars on dogbone risers, stainless battery box, steering damper, shorter rear shocks, short mufflers, electronic speedo and twin headlights. Engine is stock with 38mm carbs and 140 mainjets and for some reason goes like the clappers. Kick start only of course.
