This is my first xs650. 1979 xs650 special is how it started out. I cut off the back and welded on a brat kit from visual impact.
Had a seat made by Ranger Leather, forward controls from TC bros. The engine got a top end rebuild by Hoos Racing, bored out to 700cc and added the power dynamo electronic ignition.
A bunch of miscellaneous parts from Mikes XS, rear fender and more from Lowbrow customs. The headlight painted by Lumpy’s Garage. Motor mounts and handlebar solid risers are from Hughes Handbuilt.
She is running great. I still have a few minor things to clean up with the wiring and I see an exhaust change coming. I think I am going to change it out to dual pipes. Right now I put the stock speedometer back on.
I will likely change that out or relocate.
