walten-bro-xs650-chopper-featured

Got this bike as a half started project from a friend who’s brother started a chopper build and, sadly, passed away unexpectedly.

When I got it, it had a to brow brow hardtail installed and the seat that’s currently on it, but that’s about as far as the project had gotten. My brother, dad and I decided to turn it into a full chopper build.

We installed a 35mm Harley Sportster front end (shaved and polished) and 19″ front wheel with custom made “hubcaps”. Built a set of narrow bars out of stainless and used biltwell waffle grips and whiskey throttle. Also a modified hodaka cluster check perch with hand carved clutch lever.

Modified a stock Sportster tank, frisco style. Engine is bored .30 over, all new internals pretty much. Modified side covers with our own, hand carved “Walton bros” nameplates. Forward controls also handmade using 1941 ford connecting rods and bung king pegs. Kicker pedal was made from broze bushings stacked together. Battery/coil box is a 1957 Allstate battery charger.

Electronics “oil tank” is a cut down and modified Chevy truck drive shaft. Seat is a lerosa solo. Rear fender is a genuine 36 ford spare tire ring with a handmade stainless tip on the back. Also it’s fully adjustable with the rear wheel. Rear wheel is 16″ Harley with custom mounted Harley Softail brake and custom made sprocket.

License plate and taillamp holder custom made aluminum with biltwell taillight and handcarved Walton bros license plate frame. Paint was by me. Metalflake with a custom mixed blue fade. Other goodies are handmade stainless steel hanging headlight mount. Brass “beehive” risers and tank mounts. Modified dirt bike brake reservoir and master cylinder.

Stainless motor mounts. Custom made polished stainless exhaust. All of work done by Sam, Zach and Josh Walton. Hope you guys enjoy! Thanks for checking out our work!
