As Roger explains, “This was my second Street Tracker that I built. A lot of time (and several bobbers) had passed between my first Street Tracker and this one.” The journey between projects has clearly honed Roger’s skills, resulting in a bike that seamlessly blends vintage charm with modern performance.

At the heart of this black beauty lies a ’78 motor, demonstrating Roger’s attention to mechanical excellence. The engine has been upgraded with an electronic ignition system, ensuring reliable starts and improved overall performance. This thoughtful modification bridges the gap between the XS650’s classic appeal and contemporary riding demands.

One of the most striking features of “The Black Tracker” is its fuel tank. Roger opted for a 1970 XS-1 tank, a choice that adds a distinctive silhouette to the build. This vintage component serves as a focal point, emphasizing the bike’s classic roots while complementing its overall streamlined aesthetic.
