Mark Miller’s journey with his Yamaha XS650 hardtail bobber, affectionately named “Bob,” is a testament to his dedication and craftsmanship.

Mark’s dream of building a hardtail bobber/chopper had been a long-standing ambition. “Always wanted to build a hardtail bobber/chopper,” he shared. The project began when he stumbled upon a hardtail frame and an assortment of motorcycle parts. The pivotal moment came when he acquired an XS650 engine, setting the wheels in motion for what would become an extraordinary build.

From the first glance, Bob commands attention with its all-black aesthetic. The sleek, matte finish exudes a sense of raw power and sophistication, making it a standout on any road. The attention to detail is evident in every angle, from the meticulously crafted frame to the custom handlebars that give Bob its distinctive character.

However, the journey to completion was not without its challenges. Mark candidly described the process, noting that there were “some major headaches along the way.” Despite these obstacles, his perseverance paid off, and the result is nothing short of spectacular. “Finally, Bob was born,” he proudly declared.

Even though the bike is still undergoing some fine-tuning, Mark’s satisfaction with his creation is palpable. “Still needs fine tuning but so happy with the result,” he mentioned. The joy and pride in his words resonate with anyone who has ever poured their heart and soul into a project.

Mark’s hardtail bobber is more than just a motorcycle; it is a manifestation of his vision and hard work. “I think he looks good now, what do you think?” he asked, inviting us all to share in his excitement.
