This past summer all my buddies we always out riding, so i decided to stop wasting my time cruising eBay looking for parts to finish my panhead, and just build something i could get out an ride on. She started out as a typical 1980 xs, and ended up as a typical 1980 “chop” lol.

Nothing really all that special… Shaved forks, rebel shocks, drag bars, all the normal fare. Striped it all down, went through the motor, brushed out all the chrome, slash cut mac’s, added some go-fast holes 🙂 When all was said and done she went from E-bay, to what you see in about 3 weeks, and i was riding again!

She got a surprising amount of attention everywhere, so much so that my buddies stopped inviting me on rides so they could show off their 25k chrome pigs in peace.. oh the irony. But i guess in a sea of Harleys, anything stands out.

Sadly, moving into our new house forced a sale, and she had to go back home to eBay, pretty bummed about that. Probably the most fun i had with a bike in years. So much so that i parted the Pan project to my “buddies” and geared up for more XS builds.

I guess the point is, quit wasting time, just chop what you got, then get out and ride!
