Mike’s 1982 XS650 features a BWC rigid weld-on with a 6-inch stretch, giving it that classic chopper stance. The bike sports a minimalist setup with no front brake and a mechanical rear brake only. Up front, it rolls on a 19-inch wheel fitted with a classic Speedmaster ribbed tire, while the rear boasts a 16-inch wheel with a 4.00/16 dual white wall classic tire, adding a touch of vintage flair.
The bike’s aesthetic is further enhanced by a leather solo seat and a p-pad, providing a comfortable yet stylish ride. The Sparto rear tail light and bare knuckle choppers chain tensioner add to the bike’s custom look. Mike also mentioned that he installed a new clutch and did a top-end rebuild about 4,000 miles ago, ensuring the bike runs as good as it looks.
Mike’s XS650 features custom pipes and Biltwell Keystone bars that have been narrowed by 8 inches, giving the bike a sleek and aggressive profile. The bike is kick-start only, but Mike left the starter in place, making it easy to wire up if needed. The flat black paint with red and white pin-striping gives the bike a classic, timeless look.
