Christopher – I just wanted to send in some updated pictures of my XS650 Chopper build in the hopes of winning a cool set of bars from LowBrow. I have been working on this bike for about 2 years now. I was hoping that I would have been finished by now but ended up moving to a new city and now I have a baby on the way. But still chopping when ever I get the chance.

The bike started out as a rusty 1977 Yamaha XS650 Heritage Special and now it’s my version of an old school chopper. I started the build with a TC bros hard tail kit and chopped all the unnecessary brackets and upper motor mount. I wanted a clean look to the frame almost like a bicycle frame. The wheels are the original hubs laced to a 21” front and 16” rear both powder coated black tires are AVON Venom white walls. As for the other parts we got a leather seat from Redtail, forward controls from G&L Choppers, Grips and pegs are black flake from Hippy Killer, 12 apes TC BROS, and 2.2 alien tank and lots of Cool stuff from LowBrow.

But the newest part is the custom exhaust that was made by Gordon Scott Engineering. If you want a cool custom exhaust you have to use this guy. He’s one cool cat, great product and even better service; you can finder his stuff at www.xs650exhaust.com. The final help and inspiration goes out to www.xs650chopper and everyone chopping and posting their bikes on the site.
