Jeff Kil – Well as many xs 650’s that have been built in the last 2 years this one started out as a basket case 77 destined to have the “bobber treatment”.
This is not as easy as it seems for me, because every time I try to finish the bike something else changes and it sends the bike in another direction. It’s almost like the bike is already built and I am merely chipping away at the stone to expose the art below.
It has taken on the form of a chopper and much less of a bobber. The setup started as a simple TC bros. hardtail and use the existing parts into a 70’s inspired semi frisco chop. I have just received a 6″ over twisted springer which I’m in the process of pulling bearings together for the mounting and looking for options for the Akront 21″ offroad from drum wheel.
