Write about your XS650.: Hi All, New to this site, I like it. It is exactly what I am trying to do.
This is my project; I have a few friends that are chopping up BSA’s and Triumphs.
I just could not bring myself to drop 2K on a donor bike no matter how cool.
So I decided to look at other donor bike candidates, I made a list of several bike models to chop.
As I was driving past a yard sale I caught a glimpse of a beat to shit bike.
Almost rear-ending the car in front of me and a quick u-turn to my surprise it was a 1972 XS650.
$150.00 Score! Note: it might be worth buying a bike with a lot more serviceable parts it would save a few bucks.noid-xs650-0

The Goal was / is to build up an inexpensive Bobber using as many stock parts as possible. Do all the work myself. Design and fabricate all the parts I could. Just finishing it up.
I will post some more pic’s soon. I hope you like it. Jeff D.
