This is the first build that i’ve done. It’s a 1979 xs650. I decided to build a bobber after watching my dad build one the summer before. After looking for a while I found this bike for sale on craigslist (it was stock). The bike was stretched and lowered three inches using a weld on hard tail.
The bars are TC Bros 12 inch apes. The bike originally had mag wheels on it which I swapped out for a set of spokes.
The pipes are stock, they were just cut down and wrapped with some heat tape, and the mid controls are the passenger pegs off of a ’79 Harley Shovelhead. This was a fun low budget build. It was a great experience.
