Scored a 79′ 650 special from a friend. He was looking to off the derelict carcass as he decided to build a triumph instead. All the better for me as I am always in the market for free bikes or parts. The long ride home gave me the chance to brainstorm about what I was going to do with my new ride. Once I was home I decided on building a whole frame for this build. I cut the head tube out of the stock frame to save the VIN numbers and you can find where the vin numbers are located on a motorcycle here. Luckily a friend of mine had me pick up some tubing for him to build a chopper frame a while back, after he lost interest the material was given to me. Mocked it up and built a frame, its on wheels now but i have not had the time or funds to finish it for over a year and a half. I recently stumbled across this sight and have found my dirve to get it done. I have turned the fork legs in the lathe, made a set of risers and drag bars out of my scap material barrel and got her on wheels. 90% done 90% to go. More pics to come
