Richard- I built this 650 in about six months from an 81 i had sitting in the garage.

I was going for an old indian feel for the bike. I wanted to build a leaf spring for a while and this seemed like the perfect project to do that. I used an old mustang leaf spring and did most of the fab work in my garage. I also ran some floor boards and made the pedals out of some old lake pipe covers i had laying around.

The tank shifter was made out of a turn of the century brass school door knob that just looks cool, i had a guy help me to get the oil filter from internal to external to keep the bike looking very mechanical.

My buddy Christian at XIAN leather did the seat for me, as always the best work around.

I have to say thanks to the guys at Garage Company Customs that helped out with some motor problems when i was in a pinch to get to the smokeout.  All of the pics were taken by Jack Criswell at adpix, he does such a great job.

Its just a fun bike to ride especially with the rear drum only as stopping power and of course the bottoms of your boots.
