How is all the chopper freaks today??  Well, this is a bike my buddy has dreamt about since he saw his first Bobber.  He is a retired SFC, MP, from the Army and I’m currently Active Duty Army in the sandbox right now till January.  Before I left he wanted a bike built so I had an old 650 laying around and he bought it cheap. He never has wrenched or worked with metal before so I helped him out and this is what we came up with. It’s a ’71 XS650 with 750 big bore kit.

We built the frame as a softail setup with a Softail swingarm.  Also built the inverted springer front end.  Rear fender is a vintage Ford Spare Tire cover along with the taillight.  Faux oil tank is a 2 gal. air compressor tank.  This is the FIRST time he ever worked with leather and made his seat from scratch!!  We did our own paint, powdercoat, wiring, welding, etc., everything!!  This is a passion of mine and he has quicky caught on and is now chopping any bike he can get his hands on!  I’ts great to see fellow chopper freaks!!  Keep choppin and livin’ the dream!!  Thanks Craig for the memories!
