This is the very first Motorcycle I have owned in my 37 years of existence. I’ve always been on the fence about buying one but after seeing what guys were doing with the old XS’s, I knew I had to have one. With work being so hectic I wanted to find something that already had the meat of the work completed and I came across this on Craigslist, drove from New York to Michigan to pick it up and enjoyed riding it all summer. Having a history of building custom cars I knew that I wasn’t going to be able to ride someone else’s build for long. As I type this the bike is now torn down to frame in hopes of a Daytona Rebirth. I’ll be keeping the same Board Tracker theme but it will change in many ways and will be much more sound structurally.
The bike sits on 21″ wheels laced to factory drum hubs front and rear. The tanks is a Harley Super Glide take off. The exhaust is a one off 2into1 built by Gordon Scott Engineering. Bars are from circa 1970 Dirt Bike with Biltwell Gum grips.
The “KR” logos you see on the bike and the images is a company I founded in 2010 which is an automotive enthusiast brand but with my new found love for bikes I intend to merge the two love together and offer more bike oriented merchandise and content on my blog. Look for a rebirth in early 2012 !
