Got a frame and an engine in trade for building a tank for a friend. Removed most of the frame and built my own to be a little different than a mail order boring one. Scored some old drum spokers and with some welded tabs made them work on the stock forks. The seat is from a very old bicycle that i lengthened and widened.
The tank I bought but welded one of the fillers flat and welded the original petcock hole as well. Painted it myself and rode it around just in time for winter to arrive.
Theres a picture of the single downtube front end as well as a picture of what i started with. You can do a whole lot with little money. Lastly is a picture of my shop helper/drinking buddy.
