Wake up boyz, we have a party goin’on!
Our trusty twin celebrates her fortieth birthday this year… Now you’re really really sure you’re ridin’ a classic piece of steel. It was in the autumn of 1969 at the Tokyo Motor Show where Yamaha introduces the XS-1 officially to the public.
The Candy Green Granddad was the hero of the show. Friends and enemies were surprised Yamaha came up with a classic four stroke parallel twin, but in the following years the twin proved her quality, 25 different XS 650 models are made till 1984.
The bulletproof engine is used in all kind of motor sports and used by many custom builders round the world. No doubt, this is one of the most beautiful, and best, engines built in Nippon.
So now a sort of tribute to the XS 650 engine, the heart and soul of our rides.
Ten times the trusty twin:
Keep them running!!
