Gary Elmore A.K.A. The Pavement Pirate – The Bike was built around a one off ARDCORE CHOPPERS rigid frame I had built from my dimensions. Frame was clear powder coated over chrome moly. Front forks are Maxium w/ altered 125mx 21″ wheel with blk. powder coated 1/2 brake hub. Rear hub is original also, Black powder coated on a 16″ steel rim all new, hardware , bearings , seals ,stainless spokes. avon ribbed 2.75 tire on the front , Indian 5.10 from coker tires on rear.
Changed sprockets to run better smoother on highway also, running o-ring chain . Tank is original early sportster, rear fender is narrow flat rigid type. very clean and mounted no hardware on rear of fender and seat shock was incorporated into the fender also. The coils , battery and wiring are in the ammo box which worked out perfectly. It was also blk. powder coated and tooled leather insert was made to match seat and theme of bike inserted into the lid. I fabricated the forward controls and ran the rear brake on a cable , way cleaner than anything else and works great .
I painted the bike in Pirate Tattoo Graphics . with goldleaf and pinstripes around panels. Bike was originally satin blk. with gloss urethane over the panels . Then I painted it Inferno orange pearl and saved all the artwork , added orange metalflake scallops and re cleared everything.Bike is very detailed ,Chrome and polishing everywhere.
