3″ Dropped Seat.
Recently finished xs 650 yamaha bobber/chopper. This is a bare bone straight foward well built bike. This is a some what different hard tail frame than you might see on some other xs choppers, the seat area has a 3″ drop. It has a low horizontal backbone. It has a 41 degree rake but the bike stays parallel to the ground for a long, low, mean look.
The single front downtube is made frome 1″x 2″ rectangular tubeing that was drilled and 1″ round tubeing welded in holes. It has an early 70’s springer front end and seat. The seat is leather with a cool Barbwire scar running down it. The fork stays and rear fender supports are made from chain. The Faux oil bag house electronics, with easy access.
There is no bondo in this frame. You will see that at the start of listing I stated the mileage as 200 miles, that is a close guess of miles the bike has been ridden since it was finished. I am not really sure of the mileage on the engine,it runs strong and has good compression. The bike usually kicks over in the first 2-3 kicks when cold and usually on the 1st when warm.”
Intake Manifold Was Fabricated
There have been absolutely no problems with the bike. An intake manifold was fabricated that replaces the twin carbs with a single mikuni 45, it runs like a banshee, it is easily tuned and it gives engine a way different look. There is a spring loaded roller on drive chain to keeps the slack out. It has hand formed fishtail up sweep pipes, and yes they are very loud. New ratchet style gas cap was fixed into the sportster tank. This bike is a real attention grabber.”
