This bike is a 1982 Yamaha XS650 Special that has been completely re-built. Modifications have been done to the frame to accommodate the intended changes and then it all got media blasted and powder coated satin black for a long lasting durable finish.
The top end of the motor has been re-built with new pistons and rings and all new gaskets and seals.
The rear suspension is a modified YZ450 set-up with twin gas filled shocks.
Mikuni VM34 round slide carbs have been used specifically jetted for the XS650 and coupled to a pair of free flow air filters along with a set of CNC machined aluminum intake manifolds.
The exhaust is a custom one-off 2 into 1 set-up upswept on the right side of the bike.
The instrumentation is handled via an Acewell digital information center with a digital read out for both the speedo and tach along with the vital info like blinkers, neutral light and so forth.
Both the head light and tail light are new Bates style units that are super bright and turn those dark roads into a readable landscape. The blinkers are also LED units and although they are small they are really bright.
The tank we used on this bike is from a 1968 Bennelli Scrambler and the seat set-up is a marine vinyl wrapped hump back style.
The wheels are custom made 19″ spoke wheels front and rear. Both wheels are wearing Shinko 285 Street Tracker rubber.
The front brakes have a Nissan master cylinder and caliper fed through a braided stainless steel line and the rear brake caliper is also a Nissan unit fed through a Brembo master cylinder. New brake pads front and rear were installed during the re-build as well.
A great riding bike that can handle highway speeds with no problem and has a lot of lower end for any logging roads you may want to venture down.
The bike is for sale for $6,500.00 Cash
Clean title and new tabs are on the bike.
