In our private Yamaha XS650 Facebook Community, member Joe Maddox recently shared an impressive showcase of his 1975 XS650 build. The transformation from the original bike to the final product is nothing short of stunning.

The first picture shows the bike in its original state, a classic XS650 waiting to be transformed. Joe’s vision for the project is clear from the start, as he mentions, “1975 Xs 650 mostly TC brothers parts and alot of Harley parts.”

As we move to the second picture, we can see the build in progress. The bike is stripped down, and Joe is hard at work bringing his vision to life. He shares some of the key components of the build, saying, “1” bars, 16″ rear with a 21″ front tire.”

The third and fourth pictures reveal the final result of Joe’s dedication and hard work. The bike is now a shiny blue beauty with a cool flame design adorning the gas tank. The combination of TC Brothers and Harley parts, along with the Honda Rebel tank, creates a unique and eye-catching look.

Joe’s attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the build. He even mentions one of the biggest challenges he faced during the process: “Biggest challenge was rear brake assembly mount.” Despite the obstacles, Joe persevered and created a true work of art.

The final product is not just visually stunning but also a joy to ride. Joe shares, “Sounds amazing to me and I try to ride it to work at least once a week 60mil trip.” It’s clear that this XS650 build is not just a showpiece but a reliable and thrilling ride.

Fellow community member Michael, a top contributor, couldn’t agree more, commenting, “That’s a super nice build!” Joe’s XS650 is a testament to the passion and skill of our community members, who continue to inspire us with their incredible builds.
