I purchased a seat, handle bars, hardtail, tail light, pipes and pods, other wise I re used original parts, or hacked stuff laying around the shop. I mounted the Battery, switches and electronics in an old 7.62mm ammo can. I cut out all the wiring except for the ignition/charging system, and headlight/taillight.
Mounted an old sportser peanut tank. Got a fender off a buddy’s trailer, and made struts out of my old coondog’s tie out chain. I cut off the passenger pegs and used them in place of the originals. I kept the stock headlight, speedo, and handle bar controls, minus the turns signal and horn control.
It is dirty, leaks oil, is missing 4th gear, and some of the welds look like bird shit, but I wanted something different and I think I am going to ride it just the way it is.
