Brent – The build started our talking to a co-worker about starting the search for bike to bob/chop. He had mentioned he’s dad use to run a motorcycle repair shop back in the 70’s/80’s and said there were still a few bikes left sitting in the garage. Went to go take a look and found the 71 sitting in the corner rough but complete. Made a deal for the bike and it was torn apart in my garage the next day.
I had done light mods to cars previously but this was my first complete build. Got the job done with minimal garage tools and a lot of research online. Learned a lot, and would have done many things differently if I had to do it again. Overall, I’m pleased with the bike, its a blast to ride, and give me less trouble than my newer Harley!
