In the world of custom motorcycles, few bikes capture the imagination quite like a Yamaha XS650 fitted with a sidecar. One of our community members, Michael, has shared an exceptional example of this unique setup, and we are thrilled to showcase his stunning blue XS650 sidecar.
Michael’s bike, with its striking blue paint job and large vintage headlamp, is a head-turner. The motorcycle has about 17,000 miles on the odometer and has recently undergone a comprehensive tune-up. “The bike has about 17,000 miles,” Michael shared. “I recently moved from MN, so it still has MN plates and tabs. The tabs are expired. Recent tune-up from a shop back in MN, which included brand new tires, oil change, valve adjustment, chain adjustment.”
The sidecar itself adds a level of charm and functionality that is hard to match. Despite some rust-colored spots, which Michael assures us are just leaves in the photo, the sidecar complements the bike beautifully. The combination of vintage aesthetics and practical upgrades makes this XS650 a standout.
Living in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, Michael mentions that the bike garners a lot of attention whenever he takes it out. “Gets lots of attention every time I take it out,” he noted. This isn’t surprising, given the bike’s unique setup and eye-catching design.
The large vintage headlamp at the front not only enhances the bike’s classic look but also provides excellent illumination, ensuring safe rides even after sunset. The meticulous maintenance and recent tune-up ensure that this bike is not just a showpiece but a reliable ride as well.
Michael’s XS650 sidecar is a testament to the timeless appeal of Yamaha’s classic model, combined with the nostalgic charm of a sidecar. It’s a perfect blend of style, functionality, and history, making it a true gem in the world of custom motorcycles.
