Here is my 1973 TX650 that a buddy gave me & my son for a project about 4 years ago…It was basically a frame and engine that sat in his back yard for 8 years. He didn’t even know if it ran. The first thing we did was cut the frame and weld on a TC Bros hardtail. Then my son lost interest and gave up, so over the past few years when I had extra time and $$$ I finished it myself.
I still want to tidy up the wiring a bit, wrap the header pipe and build a battery box…
I did all the paint myself in house except for the 2.2 GAL Peanut… I got the tank on my first sportster and when I sold the bike I couldn’t part with the tank and kept it….Now it lives on my Yamaha.
This bike get’s more attention than both my Harley’s…. Run’s Great, Handle’s great and is a blast to ride… My son now DROOL’s every time he see’s me ride it. I hope he will get his drivers licence and come for ride’s with me this summer…. but for now I am riding it all winter in Victoria BC.
