I love this bike! So much that it inspired me to buy an xs and I’m looking to build a sister bike for this one in Australia.
Any info on specs for wheel sizes, shockers, sourcing of parts would be much appreciated.. Thanks.

The wheels are… stock xs rear, with a 1971 front hub laced to a stock xs rear 16″ rim. You can just as easily lace a regular front hub to any 16 rim though. this 5.10×16 tire has about 1/4″ clearance on either side of the tire though, so any bigger you’ll need new trees. Call Buchanan tell them what rim and hub you have and they’ll make you the spokes you need for about $120.

That thing is sick. Love that a tank (that’s not a Sportster tank) was used and made to look badass. I wish I had the skill to dish a tank like that. The while bike looks killer, but I think a small rear fender would help the rear end flow with the lines of the tank a little better.

I think it would be ok with just a rear fender. not something big. it looks great as is, but don’t think a rear fender would hurt it.

@fanoboss I emailed him thru ebay. he sure answered alot of questions while selling the bike. hoping he gets back to me. mostly I am interested in the details of putting a fat 16″ tire on the front. I really dig that look. I will be going for something like this https://xs650chopper.com/2010/10/softtail-bobber/ (hope this link works), and i’m just hoping to mine some experience from someone who has done it. There are a few things I’d change on this bike (for a build, not if I bought it), but overall this bike is badass.

it doesn’t NEED a fender. neither of my custom bikes have fenders. they need a little more cleaning but don’ have to have fenders.
