Mostly all men here, but there are some women and young men too. It’s a brat, not a bobber. A bobber is a hard-tail, brats have shocks…And it seem that I saw a young lady here too.

I have a confession: I’m a harley man and always have been, but I enjoy this site and the very cool bikes you guys build. Something I’ve noticed on this site is that whenever a bike is featured with shocks and a sprung seat, you guys really freak out and make lots of negative comments, as if that is something that just isn”t done in bobber building. Now over on the dark side where I live, we do it all the time. Lots of highly respected builders (like the del prado brothers in phoenix} build a lot of bobbers that way. I’m in the midst of bobbing a ’77 sporty that way. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it, boys.

all i can say is there are “those people” who just don’t undersatnd the value of a comfortable ride. i say let the nay sayers say. at the end of a 150 mile ride they will look at your “bouncy” looking seat and wander if maybe it just might be time to put a little something on their sheet metal pan!!! just saying that after the 14 gauge metal starts rubbing the skin off your asp it might be time for a little “bouncy” know what i mean? thanks for sharing and as one retired army guy…..
