IMO the best ones are the simplest. Cheap, fast, loud, basic, low maintenance, no frills, rattle can, and good rubber. It’s all you need.

you are right sorry for the typo the rear is a 18 and the front is a 19. The the slightly skinnier front tire makes both tires about the same hight.

I used some 3/8-16 threaded bungs, and drilled 3/4 inch holes in my back bone then welded the bungs in place. There is a pretty good right up on http://www.Lowbrowcustoms.com in the DYI tech tips. I have a thread insert gun and tried that first, but I was not comfortable with how strong is was. Welding bungs in is the way to go. Some people also drill all the way trough there back bone and use all thread, but it weakens your frame.

Great bike. And it’s true. Less is more. The pinstripe painting completes the bike.

I runs fine with the dellortos, but your right there is not very much information on them. I’m just using the jets that came with it 145 i think. Twice I have had flats spots at high RPMS. I think that it was a fuel delivery problem because my fuel line was so high (like it is in the pics). I have change that line up, and haven’t had a problem sense. You can really feel the power when the accelerator pumps kick in. The only complaints that I have about them is it seams like i’m always adjusting my idle speed and the return spring is not strong enough so some time I look like a fool when i’m shifting and rev the engine way up. How does it run with the Dellorto carbs? I’ve seen them (the carbs) advertized but as far as i know i havent seen any info on them…. Sweet ride

the hard tail is a TC Bros. There web Site is http://WWW.tcbroschoppers.com. They only make one hard tail for the XS it is a 3 inch stretch, and I am not sure of the drop. I didn’t change the rake, but I lowered the forks 1 1/4″. the front tire is a 4.00×19 and the back is a 4.50×16 Firestone Champions. I got Mine from Cocker tire, they have the best price. I too spent a lot of time on this site getting inspiration and motivation. I’m glad my bike can inspire someone too! Thank you

I’m inspired by your build.
This is a great website and i like it how everyone shares their ideas.
I think all builds should detail their modifications ie;
stretch
drop
rake
wheel size/type

its a great help to those who want to replicate a particular style. What is the specifications of your bike?
Comments are great but only takes a few moments, if someone builds a bike and tells you you inspired them that’s truly something.
