I was really happy with the way the bike turned out last year and I got alot of positive feedback, so I did the obvious and took it all apart and changed everything, hahaha. Im digging the new version but its a completely different bike, I’ll post pics when its up and running. I still have the lace tank hanging on the wall, maybe my kid can use it on there first chop in twenty five years?

I LOVE the lace, man! I know that skulls and skeletons have been popular themes for chops and customs for decades….. so much so that I’m just absolutely want to hurl everytime I see yet another bike with a skull on it. Can’t anyone do something original these days? Why are there SO MANY copy cats? Many KUDOS to you for breaking THAT mold. The lace is cool, it has not been overdone like skulls have and it looks totally “OLD SCHOOL!”

Hey thanks guys for all the comments I appreciate it! So I stripped the bike back down to the frame over the last couple months and I’m fixing up all the little things that were bugging me and making a few little changes, sissy bar/new pipes and maybe a new seat?

Reeb… The axle adjusters that are built into the tail are probably just fine. It’s hard for me to explain, but basically I’m running the caliper inside the frame if that makes sense.

I agree with Justin. There is nothing wrong with G&L adjusters. They did an excellent job. But with the rear caliper inside the frame the adjuster bolt is really tight. This way there would be more space to use the axle adjuster.

Man, you don’t often see a shot of a custom from the rear, but there is something really appealing to me about the look of this bike from behind. Maybe because the weight looks like it is all waaaay down low or something. I don’t know what it is, but I like it.

Yeah theres nothing wrong with G&L adjusters, I just flipped my caliper to the inside edge of the axle plate so the adjuster bolts were in the way, If your brake setup is in the stock position those adjuster will work fine

EJ, I just used some washers to space out the adjusters on the axle plates and mounted them like the stock ones. Had to do modifiy the caliper a little to get it to fit right but it worked

First off, great looking bike. One question I have is that I too have a G&L weld-on rigid, but how did you use the stock rear wheel axle adjusters? I’d love to see any close up photos you have of that.

Thanks guys, Yeah my dad nailed the paint, he used to paint some bikes and vans back in the 70s so he knows how to do it right. I’m happy with the way it turned out
