Hey Micheal,

I’ve got everyone beat!… I gave a $3,400 deposit 11/6/09 to Richard Ford of G&L choppers. Since the original deposit, I’ve sent him a ACME Choppers narrow springer ($1000), a highly cut & re-welded/ painted gas tank (approx $2000), $600 NYC Choppers rotor/Jaybrake caliper ($600), and countless other parts (tons of custom fabrications with 50-100 hours of my hand labor to create). All said, Richard has approximately $7,800 of my money (including the original deposit, but NOT including my own hard labor).

Today marks exactly 4 & 1/2 years since the original deposit. He has not communicated with me in well over a year. All along the way I’ve heard lame excuse, after excuse from him, until he decided to never reply to me in any way shape of form.

Until Richard Ford makes good on his agreements with everyone he has boldly screwed, I will have to maintain that he is no more than a bold faced CRIMINAL!

We’ve been waiting for over 3 YEARS now for our bikes from G&L choppers and Richard Ford still refuses to accept our calls.

Others have been and still are, waiting much longer.

I actually said in my last email, that he could just keep my bike if he’d just return my deposit and yet, still no response.

Again, multiple complaints have already been filed with the Colorado State Police Department and the Attorney General’s office as well as, at least (4) different complaints with the Better Business Bureau, just in 2012 alone.

Beware of G&L Choppers and think twice before handing over your bikes to Rich Ford.

Give your hard earned cash to small businesses that actually deserve it.

To be fair though, I’ve been to blame for some of the delay. I changed the design a couple times plus I held onto parts that he needed to complete the build for around 6 months.

Also, I have to give credit that he & I have had some limited contact via phone & email over the last 6 months. I still have faith that Rich will get the job done soon. He really does seem to be a nice guy & honest. Time will tell….

I’ll try to remember to update this post once I get the bike (God willing).
