On my first build i would love to have a rear tire like the one you have used here. What size tire is that and how hard was it to tie back into the original motor, etc.

@Yale, thanks for the interest, makes me feel like I did something right, however, the bike is being built for a friend and so it is not for sale : ( The rear tire is a 180, standard XS tire is 110-130.

Thanks everyone, first test drive was yesterday. I have a little more work to do! Carbs need to be tuned up, tank needs a different mounting set up (lots of vibration coming through) and a few tweeks hear and there. I’m hoping that this winter will include a tare down and paint. At the moment I just want to ride it! Again, thanks for the positive feed back.

Nice! This is exactly the direction I was thinking of going. I love hauling in the brakes on my Buell and stopping, like, NOW. I’ve got a ’75 XS and a set of Buell wheels, forks and rear brake. Just got to get it all together.
