There selling a 1974 TX650A in my neighborhood for $1,600 I want to buy it and turn into a bobber. I’m wondering if XS650 parts are compatible and/or if TX650 parts are easy to come by and cheap? help please?

The front hub is stock… I want to say I paid around $90 for the spokes and nipples and I did buy the Excel rim new. You can find a used rim much cheaper…. the one I have would be for a early Yamaha dirt bike. If you need more info just let me know

I will be getting alot of progress done on Tuesday so I will get some new pics. I did lace the front… stock XS front hub, Excel 21″ hoop, and Buchanans stainless spokes and nipples

The rear tire is a 4.50 Firestone…. as for color I am going with a Candy pegan gold and a ruby red with heavy flake.

i like the way that the tank and handlebar combination, draws your eye down to the top of the motor………..very clean. looking forward to seeing it done.
