1983 Green Meany

Eric – Howdy, I love this site.  Here are some pics of my 83 XS650, it’s the second one I’ve had.  Bought this bike as a non running project, got it running the first day (although not well). The bike smoked badly on the left side and had all kinds of electrical issues.

Ended up buying another motor and wiring harness that was on a GoKart (yes, a Go kart) for a hundred buck$.  Swapped engine and wiring harness…..runs like a top.  I love this bike, I’ve had Harley’s and Buells and this bike gets way more attention.

Yep, got a stable full of rides and Shred reborn gets the looks, makes my eyes water, and keeps a huge grin on my dial. Enjoy the bugs.

Wow simple looks great and not a hard tail. I want a set of pipes for mine that are like yours, but I do not know where to find them. Yours have a real nice curve to them and would go around my home made front mounts. My bike is in pieces all the way down to the frame and I have been cuttin wielding, deleteing all the the old mounts . Also I cut the whole seat assemble off and lowered the seat and reset my shock mounts. These frames have alot of work to clean them up. From what I see your is the best Looking for the littlest amount of change.. Good Job.

Awesome build. Simple and mean. Anyway you can send more photos. This is exactly what I’ve been thinking of doing to my ’79
