diamond in the rough

Father Son project. Bought Two Bikes, working one at a time. replaced the whole back half ourselves with our tube bender and wielder. We have bought very little. Engine is rephased. Pops was the genius behind that one.

My father has shown me how to make and finish all the parts that we have designed and made ourselves. we took bondo and smoothes out all the wields so it looks like one piece. the axel was made by my father as well. when we got the bike the places you could see were painted but not the bottoms of the parts.

I’m likeing that forward control set up you got going on there, very clean. Just what I’m looking for simple & clean!

  7. Sean says:

everything on the motor is painted with brake callper paint so it can withstand the heat. we put a satin black on the frame so it would have a little gloss yet not over the top

  8. Geezerman says:

    Nice !!

  9. Dig the new lines of the frame. Removing the whole backbone really makes the job a whole lot bigger. Coo-dos on a nice looking hardtail.

@ christopher richmond…maybe Jim meant it in a nice way????? Fuk If I know, LOL. I do agree with your sentiments about the community as a whole. The xs650chopper.com folks are great people with vision and a drive to complete something others have given up on.
