Anodized Red

Built out of my garage from an 83 Heritage Special. A pretty typical build except for the paint which makes the bike looks anodized when the light hits it. It’s loud, obnoxious, and different.

Even though we see a lot of these bikes on forums like this, you hardly ever see one on the road which makes it all worthwhile in my opinion. It’s a work in progress.  A springer front end with a modest rake is in the future.

When I first saw the title “Anodized Red” I was thinking ‘OH NO, a COMPLETELY COATED fire engine RED BIKE. Was very pleasantly surprised, GREAT JOB !!!

  2. Bryan says:

Thanks. I should have provided a close up of the tank so you could see how the paint shows the metal underneath. It’s hard to capture in photos.

Try turning your flash off, in bright sunlight. Also, make sure you have fresh batteries. You can also back way up and then zoom in on tank, gl.

that mirror and headlight are HUGE……cool color.

  5. Bryan says:

Yeah, I know. I’m probably gonna go with the mini headlight and bar end mirror before Spring rolls around. I’ve already changed the seat since these were taken.

  6. Nice clean lookin bike, What color is that and who makes it ect… ? I’m guessing the black is powder coating?

Fabbastard, It’s a rattlecan paint I picked up at a local hardware store that’s made to paint over bare metal. I just clear coated the crap out of it, wet sanded then buffed and it turned out amazing. I’ll take some close up pics and do another post if anyone is interested.

  10. Thanks for info! and ya more pic’s is always better..

  12. bryan Towse says:

Fanoboss: The bars are just Euro bars off ebay.
