Yamaha XS650; Need’s a new seat

Describe Your XS650: Year: 1975

This bike is still looking for its calling in life, not sure if it wants to be an ol’ skool, rat, brat or whatever, so i’m going with a whever attitude. i stretched the swingarm 3 1/2″, slapped on a sporty tank, fire extinguiser to conceal wires in front, a little paint & polish and this is what i have so far. The big problem is the BIG seat still need to find one that fits this bike… But WHATEVER!!! i’m having a blast with my 1st build anyway. pics of what i started with and how it sits thus far.

Okay so, I’m only going to say it because you already pointed it out. Dude you need a new seat fast!! Thanks for sending in the pics Glenn potts..

I have a street tracker seat that would go good with that… 🙂

i know this is the XS650CHOPPER site but i cringe when i see perfectly good stock 650’s turned into abominations.
wait- let me step off this milk crate before i fall…

@mookie – well, it’s been almost three years, so maybe it looks better now?? I’d like to have that gas tank.

I think bike looks good other than that big a$$ SEAT!! Would look good with just a plain old low profile brat style seat. Have you change it up in last 3 years?? Would like to see updated pics of this bike, just out of curiosity.
